The Public Security Directorate, in partnership with Alawneh Exchange, has launched an electronic money transfer service for inmates of Rehabilitation and Correction Centers, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the services available to inmates and their families and make sending financial support easier and more convenient.
The new service allows inmates’ families to send money through Alawneh Exchange branches authorized to provide the service, eliminating the need to visit Rehabilitation and Correction Centers to make deposits in person. The existing option of making direct deposits at the centers will remain available.
The service will be available to receive transfers on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with a maximum weekly limit of JOD 100 per beneficiary.
Transfers are limited to first-degree relatives, including fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons, and daughters. A valid document proving the family relationship must be presented when making the transfer.
To complete the transfer, the beneficiary’s full four-part name and national number must be provided. Transfers must also be made in person at an Alawneh Exchange branch authorized to provide the service, in accordance with the applicable terms and regulations.
